Group Therapy & Events

Why groups?

Community can make us feel less alone, it can be salve for the things we cannot change, it can be a space to remember, or to imagine new futures, and it can help us change when we witness others changing.

Most of what we seek therapy for is rooted in our history of relationships and our interconnectedness. Group therapy can help you develop new ways of how you connect with people, and to learn new ways of dealing with your wellbeing and mental health.

My approach to groups.

Group therapy is open to most topics. Like individual therapy, its main objective is a change of sorts.

Some groups focus on a specific topic, such as grief, belonging and identity, burnout and nervous system reset, starting a new year, and so on.

My groups have 4 to 8 members, and last 6 - 8 weeks.

I also offer mindfulness and grief tending workshops in my local community, and in the mental health and charity sector.

If you are interested in participating in a group, please see below for upcoming offerings and reach out.

GROUP OFFERINGS

GROUP OFFERINGS

I have space in an online group, starting in the new year (dates tbc). The group will be open, so there is no focus on a specific topic. Given the start of a new year, it is a great way to focus on changes you may aspire to, and to support yourself with your intentions. The group will have no more than 8 members and will last 6x weeks. The fee for 6x weeks of group therapy is £180.

Blythe Yoga, Stratford

Our current social and political challenges are causing grief and vicarious trauma for many. You might feel heartbroken, helpless, exhausted and hopeless. These bewildering times can also amplify grief that has already been ongoing for you. All types of grief are welcome in this free afternoon workshop.

The intention of this workshop is to remember our capacity to be with grief, and to experience the transformative power of tending to grief. In community we can cultivate a safe space to open up to grief, to talk about our losses and to find companionship in navigating the often overwhelming and unfamiliar journey of adapting life to loss.

This workshop focuses on sharing in community, though you can share as much or as little as you like. We intend to regulate our nervous system and find home and belonging in our body, history and community.
